Getting Started

How to participate

  1. Explore our projects - Browse the OSGeo project list and find one that interests you
  2. Join the community - Subscribe to project mailing lists and introduce yourself
  3. Start contributing - Fix bugs, improve documentation, or add small features
  4. Prepare your proposal - Work with mentors to develop a strong project proposal
Pro Tip: Students who engage with the community before the application period have a much higher success rate!
